- We have over 25k followers on social media and every day we champion and promote the work of our ambassadors. Hundreds of exciting partnerships and projects have led to excellent PR for your organisation, supporting your CSR and social value priorities.
- We signpost you to opportunities to get involved or volunteer - connecting you with people in other areas of the council or other ambassadors that may be able to assist you and support you.
Working in partnership with Child Friendly Leeds has been critical in helping us meaningfully engage with some of the city’s most vulnerable children and young people, and the many staff across the council who support them.
What do Child Friendly Leeds ambassadors do?
Being a Child Friendly Leeds ambassador is flexible to reflect people’s different objectives, resources and available time. Here are some examples of how you can get involved:
- Promoting our brand and the CFL 12 wishes.
- Sponsorship for events or projects.
- Offer your rooms/venues as spaces for hosting events, activities or workshops.
- Work with us on a specific project.
- Get involved with our Enrichment offer by donating gifts, tickets or opportunities to care experienced children.
- Offer discounts to children and families by becoming a Breeze Perk Partner.
- Promote our wider initiatives, like fostering recruitment, the independent visitors scheme, and inclusivity.
- Other – we are happy for ambassadors to bring ideas to us, of how they would want to work with us.
We also ask our ambassadors to tell us about their interest in our Child Friendly Leeds 12 wishes, as many ambassadors have a particular wish they are passionate about and want to get involved with.

Case study: Ambassador sponsorship funds the Child Friendly Leeds awards
Our Child Friendly Leeds Awards can only happen via key sponsors. Running bi-annually, we champion everything and anything happening across the city making Leeds the best city to grow up in whilst giving young people the opportunity to work with the theatre to plan and deliver. The 2024 Awards were sponsored by: aql; first direct arena; The Grammar School at Leeds; Hamara; Leeds BID; Trinity Leeds; University of Leeds; and White Rose Shopping Centre.
