The Child Friendly Leeds Awards
The Child Friendly Leeds awards take place every other year and provide opportunities to children and young people:
Be on the planning group
You can sign up to plan our awards. As a planning group, you get creative freedom to pick the theme, develop the script, and you are in charge of a portion of the budget!
The group run the event and can take on a range of roles, from presenting the awards on stage, to working on the sound and lighting, or even welcoming guests as ‘front of house’ staff.
Perform in the awards
You can sign up to perform on stage during the awards ceremony. This is valuable experience performing at a theatre venue in Leeds, and you can invite family/friends along to watch too.
Cole LC brought his unique sound to the 2022 awards, having competed on The Voice Kids in 2017. Cole LC has continued to have great success in the music industry, reaching over 1M streams on Spotify in 2023.
In 2024, a Leeds-based band ‘The Casuals’ performed one of their own songs to a crowd of over 350 people.
